Courtesy of Curved Air at Fibbers Bar in York. I met up with five of my friends from my school days and had a nostalgia blast. We were not disappointed. Sonja Kristina is no longer the eye candy that she used to be but she still has a certain je ne sait quois.

It was a great gig preceded by a meal at Ning, a newly opened malaysian restaurant near Clifford's Tower car park. Great food.

A good night all round.

Wow I didn't think they were still going !!!!

She certainly was something when I saw them in 1974!

Curved Air were almost an apprenticeship for many big names. Most of SKY passed through at some point and Stuatr Copeland (later of the Police) was their drummer

Do they still have the violin solo on Vivaldi?

I first saw them around the same time. The fantasies that I used to have.......

Yes the violin solo is still part of the set.

Many happy memories were rekindled last night.

Sheffield City Hall, early 70s. The bar was in the basement. I was in there, and so were Curved Air.
As they left to go to the dressing room, I left to go to my seat.
I followed Sonja up the rather steep stairs. She was wearing a very short skirt.:heat:

Funny how some things stick in your mind.......

I had a huge poster of Sonja on my bedroom wall back in 1974.....just the mention of her name has given me a flush of nostalgia.

Is that a euphemism?
