A newbie to this forum, so thought I would say hello!
I'm not an experienced cyclist but have recent completed a couple of charity events, one cycling round the IOW and have got the bug... Did these events on a fairly basic road bike from Halfords... Realised that there are better things out there and just invested in a used Specialized Tarmac Expert that has quite a number of upgrades... Probably too good for my fitness level but already I have seen a 2mph increase in my average speed, whether that be the bike or just my enthusiasm riding it because I love it I just don't know!
My fiancee who hasn't really cycled in years is now keen to enjoy the time on the road with me so I've just bought her a 2013 Specialised Vita Comp as it was a more suitable riding position for her.
Looking forward to chatting and finding out more about our bikes, the best way to ride them and some great routes around our local area which is Solihull in the West Midlands
