Have just treated myself to one of these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/eastway-esaki-t1-2016/
The spec and reviews look good and as it's the first new bike I've bought for about 10 years I'm quite excited
I'd been looking at a Specialized Langster but this frame set looks very similar, it's got better finishing kit and is a hundred quid cheaper..
I currently run 44x16 (72") on an old gas pipe 1980's frame and I'm not sure if 48x16 (79") might be a bit much even with the much lighter, stiffer frame so I've ordered a 17t (for a 74") sprocket just in case.
I'll still be using the old one as it's got full mudguards and I'll save this one for dry days when, hopefully I'll find it easier to stay with the geared boys on club runs.
