Gotta love Clapham High St
Glad you managed to stop in time!

Ok, that looked close. And I noticed how wide angled the helmet cam is - so that was really close!
Well done with the bike control. I find that damp but not soaking roads are the hardest to judge braking on. In those conditions it's just a lottery as to whether you'll stay upright - a bump, diesel, grate or white line and you don't stand much chance at all.
Criminal driving - I hope it's seen that way by those that can do something about it.

I was heading down a lovely country road a few days ago through a small town. The road narrowed and bent left. I was riding in secondary close to the wall on my left just in case a car comes around the bend.
A BMW came at about 30mph around this bend. The moment I saw it, I jammed on the brakes, locking the rear wheel. As I turned to the left to avoid him (who had not slowed down) I felt my rear wheel sliding out. I released the brake and just avoided him.

I needed a new pair of shorts after that as well.

The edge of the van was only a few cm's away from me when I came to a stop. I suspect that him continuing actually helped me stop in time as I was then able to move with him to the right.

I'm certainly pleased that I've got lots of MTB experience as that certainly helped with my braking!

I don't think its immediately obvious how hard you were having to brake, looks like quite a big lockup in your rear facing camera.

Is the blue cycle lane as grippy as the rest of the road?

Probably assumed since your only a cyclist you were riding at an awesome 10mph:tongue:
Either did not not bother looking properly(or at all) or just a plain SMIDGAF, either way some form of formal punishment is required.
