Just spotted a tricycle doing a supported ride

Does anyone know anything about it. The lady (it was dusk so could be wrong), was on a tricycle, the sort with drop bars I think. There was a car behind her saying there was a cyclist in front and further in front there was a camper van again with notices about a support van for cyclist but I couldn't see any other information. They were heading North out of Bristol.

It could be Jane Moore, who's attempting to set a women's solo tricycle End-to-End record. There seems to be no current record in this category, or at least none recorded by the Road Records Association: the "standard to be beaten" is 108 hours. There's a status report here: the latest entry has her at Lancaster (415 miles) at 14:30.

She started at 6am on Monday and is now near or at Shap Fell. I think she's still up on schedule.

She may continue from John O'Groats to complete 1000 miles.

The timings would certainly fit! And I night have seen the letters RRA on the yellow sign, though I couldn't be sure! Wow I assumed when I saw her that she was going to camp somewhere just north of Bristol.

Definitely Jane, I'd say. One of her support team stayed here last night as his car had broken down. He's on his way north now.
It's a huge logistical exercise, planning the fastest way through towns and cities, checking roadworks, and of course staying within RRA rules.
If you're near the route, try to give her a cheer.

I've been following her endeavours both on twitter and the Tricycle Association pages. She is in Scotland and has less than 180 miles to go to JOG's. And that is despite some heavy rain! She is aiming to get there tomorrow evening.

I've just been checking myself too, and very impressed with the effort. What do you know about her? Why does she ride her tricycle? I do see one being riden around here.

She finished in 3 days 16 hours 45 minutes 21 seconds. Don't know yet whether she's continuing, to set the 1000 mile record.
Why ride a trike? She's been keeping bad company.
