at 05.12 am i have just squashed a wasp , and then dropped it out of an upstairs window , so if it wasnt dead it must of had concussion by the time it hit the ground !!!!!!!! :rolleyes:

just dont ask why we were up at 05.12 AM

actually i doubt the fall did it any harm whatsoever, insects have such small mass that their terminal velocity is exceptionally low, thus they survive being dropped from great hights.
odd and useless fact.
you could drop an ant off say the bt tower (is that still standing?) and it would survive the impact from the fall and walk off.

Yep, wasps don't bother me in the slightest, I have even helped save the life of some (along with Bees and other little creatures. Feed a Bee which is so shot it can only crawl along the ground, sugar mixed with water and see it come back to life and fly off!) .


P.S. Bees like Mars bars :biggrin:

NOOOOPPEE! it is better than wasting it on a stupid human who probably doesn't contribute much to the natural world, just destroys it. :tongue:

Anyway, its just a tiny bit, not a whole Mars bar, that would just be silly - have you ever seen a bee being sick? :biggrin:

I've done that, it was very satisfying to watch it feed, recover and fly off.
