That's one of the worst things about frosty/snowy mornings - the people who think they only need to scrape ice off a tiny part of the windscreen. A mini passed me the other morning with wipers desperately scraping across the ice because the driver couldn't be bothered to spend a few minutes making sure the screen - and side windows - were clear.

I was walking on the side of a single track road last week and expected the approaching driver to veer over a little in order to widen the safety margin, but as the vehicle came closer I could see the windscreen was frosted over. I only knew it was a she driver when I looked in the side window as she passed.

I have a sneaking suspicion I know who that car belongs to. He is without a doubt, the world's biggest drooling, stupid, cretinous, bottom belch. He is basically, a one man demonstration of why selective adult euthanasia, isn't always a bad idea.

If it is who I suspect it is, I hope someone catches up with him, and gives him a hard kick in the nuts. I would gladly volunteer, but it would mean heading up to Old Aberdeen.

A few years back, a lad that lived near us thought he could drive okay like that, until he ran over and killed a toddler because of it.

It happened at about the time I started driving, and it comes to mind quite often when I'm clearing the windows and lights of frost/snow.

It's an all too common occurrence this time of year. We've had a couple of frosty mornings this week and I've seen too many vehicles with either a small gap cleared like the driver the OP refers to, or still frozen solid with the wipers going full speed in a vain attempt to clear the screen as they drive along.

We came out of Tescos at Hampton one winters day after a short but heavy snowfall. You join a short stretch of dual carriageway, leading to almost motorway roads in any direction. As the traffic slowed I looked at the car beside me and its screen was just like the one above.
I honked my horn, the driver wound down her window...I said...'are you FRIKKIN STUPID or something '
She looked and gestured at the snow covered window as though to say...FFS, look at it .
I called across...'.youre a fooking idiot'
Woman or not, I vented my anger at such stupidity...she was shortly going to join 70mph roads after filtering In off a sliproad. How the hell she expected to do that safely i dont know.

I love electric front windows. No idea of how realistic it would be to bring in as mandatory for new cars if they are still under patent but here's hoping. I realise they cost an arm and a leg to replace.

Condensation on the inside of the screen can be just as bad, but just the same as ice or snow on the outside, it can be gone in a few minutes with the heaters and blowers set correctly.
