I'm doing about 90 miles a week with my commute and i've noticed i'm starting to get rather sore nips:shy:

Has anyone else had this? Could be more so with the cold first thing (I set off a 6.30am) but i've cycled earlier and in winter before without this, not as far tho and easier terrain. I am rather ample but they've pretty strapped down. Different sport bra needed?

Any advice most appreciated!

Possibly - I also go over to a padded sports bra in winter (Panache moulded sports bra - very comfortable and I'm a 34E) and often use bib tights as well.
But when it is really cold, I have found that some clean pocket tissues pulled out of their packet and folded straight in half across the obvious crease (forming a square) work miracles...

Also if the bra is too tight, I get sore there, but this might have more to do with the piercings...

I don't do your mileage and am only 34C but I like Falke sports bras. However they aren't great for work as they are quite thick and give you a bit of a flattish "mono-bosom" effect. Very comfortable though.

Can't say I've had that problem on the bike even with longish miles. Running did cause it a bit though and I used to use the Sportjock bras. Hold you nice and tight, and a wee bit vaseline or tape if you are really bothered.

Woah, they look great. Thanks for the tip!

These do look really good, maybe this is what i need. I tried doubling it up with a sport bra and moulded vest but it felt uncomfortable. It's not been too bad with running.

Men have nipples too ...

I had the same problem when I used to go for a run in the winter and resorted to elastoplast nipple covers!

Thank you for this. We do have a bit more of a bouncy dilemma than men;)

as with most sports bras, up one band size and down one cup size works best for me...

shame that would leave you needing a 36B because I have a 36D that I am getting rid of (free to a good home not as white as it used to be due to being washed once with something else that was not white and it acted as a 'come here all other colours' garment...) I need a 36DD and have just purchased a second one.

Oh that is a shame! Interesting tip about the sizing too - maybe explains why the other sports bra I have but never wear feels so tight!

I have pretty much found that with just about all of the makes I have tried... there is a thread on here somewhere about comfortable sports bras that I started a year or two ago... I was trying to find one - this one I can easily wear all day every day and sleep in if necessary (not that I normally do it is just sometimes where we stealth camp a quick getaway is useful.)

I'm starting to get the problem but that's since the operation to repair my leg and subsequent weight gain so you're right its not just a 'girlie' thing.
Bloody painful though.

Found this: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/bodyglide-skin-formula-regular-369g/ while googling for "jogger's nipple". Seems to be better than vaseline as it doesn't spoil your clothes.

Incidentally my tip for avoiding blisters on the feet is to put a bit of lipsalve on any spot that starts to complain - I started doing it wearing jelly shoes (the Vivienne Westward ones, not the beach ones!) and now use it with regular shoes - after all, you're the only person likely to be wearing them and nobody sees the inside. Works a treat, I use this lipsalve which is the best in the universe: https://www.foreverliving.com/retai...67A6C79A133848A721DC60C7F9A.tc1-int1?code=022 (US site, soz, can be bought here).
