It has been pointed out to me by a few people that in some of my posts I have came across as aggresive and confrontational at times.

I can assure you all that while I might not agree with what is being said I am not replying in a manner I think is aggressive it's just the way I speak and type and I suppose sometimes when you consider if you don't know me than it could seem that way.

Just to put you in the picture.

I come from a big family. 7 of us sat down everynight and had our dinner and the banter at the table was while great fun and constant to us kids could be over the top, slagging each other etc.... and winding each other up would often end up with my Mum going mental to get us to stop it. We just saw it as winding each other up and having fun.

With 5 kids in a house you can imagine the amount of mates that came round all the time and stayed over etc... which just led to more banter between my mates and my siblings mates. My mum was mentioning to Mrs Greedo only last week when they came round for dinner that she made breakfast for 22 people one Sunday morning, that many friends of mine and my older sister had stayed over one Saturday night. My parents had a big house and everyone congregated there. Always friends over for dinner as well. Just the way it was. Plus my Mum's a brilliant cook ;) No crispy pancake or throw in the oven shite ready meal food was cooked in our house.

I've always had a large group of friends and it's always been the same. Just wind ups and slagging between each other. I type as I talk at times and maybe have to think first from now on.

Mrs Greedo has mentioned though that when we first started seeing each other she used to think my e-mails and texts were very blunt at times but realised after a few weeks it was just my way. I write as I speak and when you can't see the smirk on my face, the glint in my eye or hear the tone in my voice it is hard to gauge that I'm not being serious.

I also have worked in a very competitive enviroment as a Recruitment Consultant for years which causes you to be a bit bolshy at times and now in my business have to deal with hassle, crap and peanuts on a daily basis.

If I'm not clear and straight to the point with architects, planners, suppliers, designers and in particulary the guys doing the hard graft then things don't get done right.

So while I'm not grovelling to anyone I'm just mearly pointing out that I don't set out to cause offence on this forum. I actually enjoy coming on it.

Mrs Greedo has also just pointed out a fault of mine is that I do at times think everyone has the same sense of humour and trust me, that is far from the case.

So there you go.

This might clear some stuff with some and others might not give a shoot. either way I just thought I'd say.

Plus I'm a Glaswegian! Not a rough one but one still the same!!

Greedo

Thats nothing compared to me....

Though Greedy - I work with a glasgy and he refer to everybody as a: 'cant' - I'm still trying to work out what he means !

it takes a certain type of person to be a moderator.

I would agree, although in answer to RT and Rich 'cheesey' P I am still figuring out what that Type is.

Probably good with words, able to see others point of view, hopefully someone who doesn't end up writing posts that get reported very often:biggrin:. Now we don't want moderators to be complete saints ... otherwise they may be very very virtuous (=boring in what they would allow).
