On my commute there is a junction I pass which has drivers pulling out without looking on a regular basis.

Yesterday, heading home, driver in a large silver car just comes flying out as I pass on the opposite side of the road, leaving me trying to avoid his wing and the kerb at about 20mph while shouting "Whoah" at the top if my voice.
He skewed toward the middle of the road and I kept going, then he came alongside me with his passenger window down saying "I didn't see you".
"Yeah - happens" I said expecting an apology and he replied asking if I knew why he didn't see me?!

I looked over thinking "is this guy a total knobber" when he retorted...
"Cos if I had seen you, you would have been over my bonnet!!!
Then, displaying such bravery, he accelerated off!

What a total pecker-head

knobs will be knobs! just take care out there! i think MTBing might even be safer than roads now maybe even with me on the MTB and i am very accident prone

Wasn't a Mercedes was it? I got similar grief off a guy in a large silver Mercedes a few weeks ago, and I know we're in the same sort of area.

Not this time. It was something like an Audi a6.

I have actually put a complaint in and spoke to the council about it.
They are going to look at measures, but it takes 6-9 months as they have to put a notice in place and wait for feedback from the residents - Melbury Park off Brunton Lane.

I know where Burton lane is and it love it by the airport but I have no idea where melbury park is, Likely I dont but not its name.
Any chance of a link?

Head up great north road toward the A1 and hang a left at the lights just before the wideopen turnoff/A1 roundabout.
Basically just before Brunton Lane goes over the A1 bridge - now with the bus gate.
