I'm going to build it up with mostly old parts I've upgraded on my road bike (Shimano RSX) and use it as my commuter/about town bike, and on long distance rides where I need to carry more than my road bike allows. Maybe I'll finally have a go at some Audax rides too.
I'll be saying goodbye to my Hardrock. It's served me well but is really not too practical for my purposes.
