The first Glasto ticket I bought was from a record shop a few weeks before the festival and I paid for it with real paper money. You tell that to kids these days and they don't believe you.

It really puts me off gigs. You pay £50 to see someone and all you hear is the tone-deaf moron behind you belting out his version. I could go to a karaoke night if I wanted that.
And why do that want a crap recording of it on their phone? There are thousands on youtube already and they are all rubbish. Can't anyone just enjoy the moment.

I get accused of being a kill-joy because I won't sing, clap, shout out hysterically or stand up to wave my arms about vaguely in time with the rhythm.... I've paid to listen to someone I've paid a lot [as far as I'm concerned] to perform in reasonable comfort, why would I want to stand up?

They always come back for an 'encore' so why do performers waste time going off and coming back on and why do people go mental, shouting + stomping when they know they're coming back on anyway?
