This morning someone from the forestry commission asked to be let into the allotments to check on the old oak tree that is there . It turns out that there is a moth that is killing them off 
Apparently someone imported some trees from Italy and brought the little critters with them . The infestation started in Croydon so its mainly in the south that they are going around and checking the oaks .
Signs to look out for are webs in the tree . White webs in the summer and brown in the winter .
