I've been looking for an easy to use excel spreadsheet to manage the monthly wonga situation...money in out etc..and there are a few on line planners etc...but I settled on this one as it's easy to use. I just took out the americanisms and replaced the words with english, and put in things relevant to me and took out stuff that wasnt..simples. Now I know for certain I am skint^_^

..anyway..just thought i'd share for anyone who may find it usefull.

I'd give you my 2p worth but I'm broke.

I had made my own spreadsheets to manage the money in my business. It accounted for every penny and every movement of pennies in, out and sideways.

Now I just check my online banking and see how the overdraft is holding up.

I made my own it covers
Two banks
One building society
Credit card
Orders
Car details including services and trips ect
Cycle expenditure
Fitness - weight BP and body measurements
Activity- how many times I do it per year - cycling, kayaking, beach fishing, kite flying, beach, snorkelling, MTB, road bike, sickness back pain/prolapsed disc, cold weather, bad weather, night rides, shopping by bike and astronomy

+1 for just checking online banking. My bank categorises most of my transactions so I can see where my money goes. Funny, bank charges go under "miscelaneous" so I can't immediately see how much they're taking off me!

I've never used excel in my life.

I'm surprised you find time to mess about with a spread sheet.^_^

I like this one over th eonline statements because 1) I have to do it myself which keeps me focused on reality 2) It displays everything in graph format as well 3) I keep forgetting th eonline bank log in info:whistle:

The link gives a budget planner with pretty graphs. But it doesn't consider the cash flow issue, which is usually more important.

I've got my own as well. There are two pages to it;

No. 1 manages where all the cash is; what I have, what I'm owed and who I owe to.
No. 2 monthly income (annual/12) and monthly outgoings (annual/12) to allow a debit/excess per month

If you'd like a copy (blanked) please PM me ...
