I used to go to see Nice, then ELP at their gigs around London so many times in the late 60's and early 70's.
Always a great experience!

Sad news, another name from my youth gone. Saw ELP at the Melody Maker Poll-winners concert at the Oval in 1972, as commemorated on this rather wonderful website.

BBC now say it was a gunshot wound to the head, so it does look like suicide.

Well, that depends how you define work. He's probably worked pretty hard during periods of his life - maybe he was just smarter/luckier than some of us.
