A sad loss. He had a very fine voice. "My Love is Like a Red Red Rose" is a very difficult song to sing well, not that I have tried, but I have played it many times (not well) in my brass banding days.

Kenneth McKellar was ever-present on Sunday mornings at home when I was a nipper, along with Val Doonican and Mantovani and his orhestra! It was quite a gathering!

I don't think I ever grew up!

Yeah, must be our generation: I was born in 1960 and a lot of my schoolmates' and contempories' parents liked the same music!

Don't suppose there was much choice for those who were born in the 20s and 30s!
