Like the idea! Thinking perhaps they should have one of the 'joe blow' type valves that does presta and schrader. Also, where do you lean your bike?

excellent thought. There are pumps outside Evans at The Cut, Evans in Farringdon Road and Brixton Cycles, but that's business hours only. This is the only one I know of that's 24 hour, although, of course, if you have Schraders you can go to a petrol station

During business hours, most cycle shops are happy to loan you a track pump aren't they? Whenever I've asked they've been accommodating, it's never occurred to me that one might actually refuse.

Can't see it getting much use. You'd have to spring a puncture within half a mile of it to make it worth using.
