I have had Kia Picantos for about 15 years. I never knew there was a Kia App.

It goes to show you do not need it.

For ordering new y fronts ?

I can remote unlock it, monitor the vans health status and fuel levels, can track it, etc. Nothing that would upset me too much if I didn't have it.

BMW went down the subscription route for in-vehicle features briefly, but eggheads quickly hacked the architecture and customers were doing that and getting the lot for very little. So, BMW ended up not making any money. Throw in the bad publicity and it quickly became apparent that it was self defeating so they binned it off.
