My OH has a Kindle Fire and loves it but they can be restrictive compared to a full Android tablet. A mate has the Hudl and loves it. The Hudl 2 is even better from what I can tell from the reviews. My vote would be for the Hudl 2.
This bit is just personal taste. I hate reading on a tablet with a glossy glass screen. Too much glare and the backlight makes my eyes tired. I much prefer reading on an old style Kindle (I have the Paperweight) with a front lit eInk screen. I can read on that for hours. The etched glass screen (looks like the older screens) on the new Voyage does look good though and is front lit so should be.
I think that is a stonking offer - so much so that I'm getting 'er indores to get me that for Christmas. Unless you really want the bigger screen, I'd say that deal is pretty damn hard to beat.
Having got a JL price match on the Galaxy 3 10.1 earlier in the week (for £179), I went to buy it this morning only to find it was out of stock online having been reduced to £149 for Black Friday. I called up and was told they had a few (single digits) at the Croydon Store which is my most local...so a panicked dash over in the car and got one for £149! Leaves me some budget for a keyboard case and a stylus if required
