@steveindenmark , whilst I do have some sympathy with your point, do you only eat food from your immediate environs?
It doesn't matter where Steve's other food is from, it's still useful advice!

I always thought that he was a very odd man, so I stopped watching him! However, nothing beats in-season durian.

If you want to experience bland, try persimmons. They're completely devoid of any taste, but so overpoweringly sweet it's like ploughing your way through a bowl of sugar. We occasionally have them over this way, and they seem quite tasty, certainly not bland.
Weird sharp or mushy, odd, green, too many seeds and hairy...luckily I'm allergic so don't feel a need to eat them!
Green might be said to be a positive feature when it comes to foodstuffs.

Fruit wise here in Scotland we would only eat apples, pears and plums, with the odd berry thrown in!whilst I do have some sympathy with your point, do you only eat food from your immediate environs?
That's not a Kiwi, that's a wee HaggisAnyway, this is my advice:

Well that is saving on the transport. They may be good for you. But they are not good for the enviroment, especially the non organic ones.
