KMC power links

Hi, how many times can you break a chain at this link and use the same link. I've checked online and it says that you should not reuse SRAM power links. Should you really buy a new link. I've read that some people break their chains for cleaning would they fit a new power link?

SRAM 10 spd power links are not supposed to be re-used. All others 8/9/10spd links are re-usable - though if putting a new chain on good idea to use a new link if it doesn't come with one. 11 spd links are not supposed to be re-used.
