strange one this. saturday's hard ride with the club (tough climbs and some great descents and very fast flat riding) left me slightly stiff, although only as would be expected. sunday's pootle on the charity fun run with my daughter (13 miles in over two hours!) left me with sore knees. could it be that in order to keep myself at the same speed as a 9 year old, i've been effectively grinding (25x42 was the lowest gear i had) for over two hours, as opposed to spinning for the thick end of four as i was on saturday. sore knees is the last thing i want when i'm contemplating taking up running in order to do a sprint triathlon or two next year. knees ok today though.
