Quite strong words - has someone with a mobile made you see red today?

I must admit, some people don't seem to care that everyone within a mile can hear them shouting their personal affairs into their phone - and some people seem to be in a world of their own once their phone rings.

Have you seen the advert for the Windows phone where everyone is bumping into each other - sort of a bit like that really.

The way of the "global" communications world I'm afraid.

Maybe there's a market for providing "no mobile's" coffee shops or somesuch?

Wish they would bother to look where they are going instead of getting confused at any maneuver.

Oh yeah they are very unsociable.

Best one I heard was on a train... a chap very loudly buying something over the phone, and giving his full address and credit card details including the security code...

I can't believe the numbers of young people I see walking down our street having loud conversations on their mobiles. For me using a mobile is slightly embarrassing so I do it furtively, somewhere I can't be overheard. I certainly don't use my phone when I'm having dinner or a meeting with somebody, that's the height of rudeness.

I once sat on a train to London opposite a woman who went through her entire address book telephoning people and telling them "I'M ON THE TRAIN...." very loudly. Since I was obliged to listen in to each call, I quickly realised that she wasn't calling for any particular reason, she just wanted everybody to know she was on the train to London and using a mobile phone. Muppet.

There's a lot of them about. What annoys me is that you can get hands free stuff for buttons - especially the ear piece and it works a treat.

That's why I love the Quiet Coach on East Coast trains.... even then you get complete morons phoning up and because it's quiet their voices carry and you can cut the tension in the air... wonderful. One man was told by everyone around him that he wasn't allowed to use his mobile.... he then proceeded to harrass those next to him until he got off at Doncaster. Prat.

While I'm on.... there are lots of yummie mummies who drop off their children outside the school and do a U turn in our street's junction with the main road or stop at the zebra crossing outside the school to let their children out who cross in front of their mum's car, holding everyone up, which disrupts the traffic and causes chaos. They all drive automatic Range Rover Sports, Audi Q7s and BMW X5 one-handed with a mobile to their ear.... they must have hands free I would have thoughtyet they still hold the mobile? Wierd. Rant over.....
