Knocked off bike by taxi - again!

Funny thing fate isn't it. I had failed to sell my Spesh Allez on Ebay and so had decided to keep it. So today I had a glorious fast ride along the coast road between Sunderland and South Shields, thinking how glad I was I'd made the right decision, then in South Shields on a roundabout, I was knocked off my bike by a taxi. The last time I was knocked off my bike was by a taxi in Edinburgh, when I was 18. I'm 67 now!

A mini cab driven by a chap from out East... Gave me £100 to sort my wheel. My rescuers advised him to leg it as a crowd of drunken yobs was gathering and I think they thought a lynching was due. Then a parking attendant came up and said the accident had been captured on cctv.

How very true... last time I got a new bike I got four punctures in the 2 weeks between putting the deposit down and taking delivery. Just say you're sorry and promise not to do it again.
