sorry to hear about this, at least you and your bike are 'ok' (those brusies can really hurt after a day or two.) best of luck on your recovery.

Talking of SMIDSYs - how's Andrea recovering, TC?

The robust German workmanship is quite astonishing - they really don't make them like that anywhere else! I saw her at the weekend and she has thrown the crutches away and seems unscathed apart from large but rapidly-fading bruises and a twinge in the rib that might once have been a crack. Simon gallantly rescued her bike, which is not as badly damaged as she thought, and lent advice on pursuing insurance claims and suchlike. She hopes to be back on two wheels this week. Thanks for asking.

Thankfully you & the bike are reasonably okay. We all make mistakes & seems like you both managed to get away with his without much problem.

Glad to hear your ok,and tend to agree you did the right thing...the blokes attitude sounds spot on and made a nasty situation a little better.

cheers Lisa, I think so too.
Yep was a tough commute home, my bruised ribs and arse cheek felt every single bump...
And it could have been a lot worse. My accident pales into insignificance to the OP who's girlfriend is badly injured.
So all you folks be safe out there...

Glad you're not too badly injured Ian.

That's 2 SMIDSYs in as many weeks, you're bike's obviously cursed.;)

I suggest you dispose of that one and get yourself a brand new bike.

I'll be happy to get rid of your Secteur for you. For your own safety you understand

Ian, good on you for taking that line with the driver, you say he was a cyclist also so he's probably kicking himself anyway.

Glad you didn't get too much damage
