Talking of SMIDSYs - how's Andrea recovering, TC?

The robust German workmanship is quite astonishing - they really don't make them like that anywhere else! I saw her at the weekend and she has thrown the crutches away and seems unscathed apart from large but rapidly-fading bruises and a twinge in the rib that might once have been a crack. Simon gallantly rescued her bike, which is not as badly damaged as she thought, and lent advice on pursuing insurance claims and suchlike. She hopes to be back on two wheels this week. Thanks for asking.

Yep was a tough commute home, my bruised ribs and arse cheek felt every single bump...
And it could have been a lot worse. My accident pales into insignificance to the OP who's girlfriend is badly injured.
