did you see his insurance certificate? If not........one wonders.
Anyroadup - take the bike to Brixton Cycles, get an estimate, have RJW write him a letter - but be prepared for a trek to the MIB
ring them up and ask....No, I didnt see his cert but he was reasonably forthcoming. He named his insurer, plus I've got a photo of his license, and his registration. Would he have stopped if he was uninsured?... Maybe so, I'm probably being naive.
I dont understand the RJW link though... That will cost money, right?
Is that right? So even if it doesn't actually cost the insurer, other than admin costs, as he would pay through excess that the premium would still go up? I mean say for example a new wheel is £200 and the excess is £150 plus the voluntary would cover the £200 if you see what I mean.....lets think... say £150 excess, plus another £150 voluntary excess, plus police involvement, plus increased future premiums
against
"Sorry, I'm a dick. Here's £100 for a new wheelset...."

Did you not see the car?
Were you going too fast?
Sorry for being a dick, but that was some of the sentiment expressed when I hit a hidden pothole.Have you not read the thread ?![]()
However in all honesty I would recommend a call to RJW, they seem to know their stuff.
PS My teeth have cost a lot more than a wheel!!
