Terrible, terrible. Hope you mend quickly. Bike insured? or do you have to wait for the dear sweet lady to cough up? Anyhow, good luck for a satisfactory outcome!
In the meantime have a :hugs:

Start right now and do the following;

Write down exactly what happened for your own records as through you were telling someone else.
Take photos of all the damage to you today
Take more photos in a few days time, as damage will look different
Start a running total for every single penny this whole episode costs
Start a diary with every call and letter recorded

Other will no doubt add more things, but get them started now

Ouch.

Go with what Brains said, plus, keep a pain diary, record how you feel, what medications you're taking, any lost sleep, and normal activities you either can't do or find difficult.

Check also what the local constabulary's guidelines are on prosecution, when I was hit the driver wasn't charged despite it being explicit on Leics Police website that prosecution is advised in any case where the victim is hospitalised overnight. I know you were not kept in, but be careful that they don't let it slip.

Oh, and, get well soon.

Got a letter from my lawyers; "The Defendants have accepted liability for your accident".

don't concern yourself with the bike - that can be replaced - make sure you log injuries dp physio exercises etc to make sure you come out of this fit and well.

Get well soon, roundabouts are always my biggest fear... it seems some drivers just look for cars not bikes

Half of them don't even look for cars...

On the bike, when a someone walked or pulled out in front of me, I used to mutter "Bet you wouldn't do that if I was driving a bus". When I was driving a big van (converted from an ex-school bus in fact), I found that the answer was in fact, yes, they would.....

Anyway, good news SB, happy bike shopping.

Her insurers have settled the claim for the bike at last. I got 85pc of my claim, which means I am still out of pocket, but I have ways of redressing some of that.

Cheque due to arrive in a few days. CTC solicitor is the best and has done a good job so far. Now for the personal injuries bit.

Since getting the news, the credit card has taken a bashing getting some bits in. I may just be able to retire the hack bike for a while and get in some quality riding before the good weather disappears.

Shall I got to the Isle of Wight in September? That will mean some hard work getting fit.

Shopping list:

Cinelli Saetta Frame.
Campag Record/Chorus Groupset, incl Record Triple chainset.
Mavic Open-Pro on Chorus hubs, build them myself.
ITM Carbon 'bars stem.
Sella Italia Genuine Gel saddle, Cinelli seat pin.
New Look Keo ,pedals.
