I'm presuming there's a lack of barriers like most of TDF stages besides the odd mountain climb and a bit at the stage banner, such an easy target for disruption unless the law clamps down on the protests hard.

How about equipping all the riders with water pistols/rifles, that fire bull excrement instead of water? :hyper:

Disrupting/blaming pro cyclists for the horror show in Gaza isn't going to stop the horror and risks the future status of Vuelta being a Grand Tour and the whole situation for the race is BS!

Fairly amusing, these protests have really ruined it for me. Hope it stops for next years GT’s Isreal will have captured half of the Middle East by then.
I dunno. It makes it different if they never know where the finish lines are. Maybe they'll start racing it differently too, with more emphasis on staying close to their competitors.

It will be interesting to see if any of the top 10 go long today in case the final climb gets taken out. Could be worth a gamble.

More likely is that they will be less inclined to let anyone go and breaks will be kept on a shorter leash

Sadly, Its hard to see Thursday ITT going ahead if the protesters are determined to stop it.

IPT should do the right thing and pull their riders out on safety grounds

I have to say that I am impressed that he’s chosen to make himself unemployed.
Actions certainly speaking louder than words.
Didn't Gee quit because they left him out of the Vuelta team and rumoured attempts to force a move to Ineos. I dont believe it was anything on moral grounds of "I'm not representing these state sponsored murderers...."

Absolutely sick of these protests now, one day a rider is going to be seriously hurt or killed but their idiotic actions.
