Pidcock putting *checks notes* 3 seconds into Hindley
As a armchair fan UAE have been by far the best team to watch....I think with the original ITT course today Almeida would of had a good chance at top step on the podium...still has a chance I guess. It's been the whole team doing it. I can't work out if they don't like Almeida, have decided he can manage without their help so better to rack up the stage wins or have accepted he isn't going to beat Jonas and again have decided to target stage wins to break that record number of wins in the year.
Wow, Pidcock beats Hindley.
What's Vine's deal: he can climb with the best and time trial too.
Can he just not put it together consistently, is he not cut out for leadership, or does he just like snorting the big spondulics for de luxe domestiquing with the Arabs?
I still don't know why everyone assumed it would be different, their time trialling results seem to be very similar on paper.
If only it would have been 27k 🙄Jonas loses 10s to Almeida. No biggie
Probably because Hindley's shmoked him in 6 of their last 7 time trial rendezvous.
My only memory of Jai trialling was the Giro '20, so I was with you until I read that stat.
Pidders has over performed this whole Vuelta....fingers crossed I don't jinx him but he's been worthy of a podium here.
Still has a 30 second gap on Jai..it should be enough to hold on.
Big time gaps can open in a short time on Bola del Mundo though and he lost quite a chunk on Angliru. He also needs to be aware of crosswinds tomorrow as Hindley has a stronger team to look after him.
