It’s becoming a tradition since Purito designed the first Andorran short stage back in 2015. (I was there for that one when Froome broke his foot in the neutral zone)
Anyhow the good news is that the weather forecast is fine and we get whole stage coverage. All 104 crazy kilometres of it.

Excellent question Alex Kirsch was a DNF. I see no reason why he shouldn't start as long as he's fit to do so.

He lives in Andorra, so he probably went home.

Agree though, if the stage didn't happen, he should be allowed to take a start.

You could argue that by dropping out he saved energy yesterday though. The rest nearly completed the stage, not sure at what point he dropped out but he may have effectively had a rest day. If he subsequently won the following stage I think there'd be a bit of discontent. Probably moot though as dropping out so early in a GT suggests he has an issue of some sort.

Actually, if he went home he's in contravention of Article 2.2.010 of the UCI rules which require all riders to use the hotel accommodation supplied by the race. At some point I think Sky had plans tow accommodation around France.
