Good interview with Skjelmose on DK TV2, who lost another minute and a half or so today. In remarkably good spirits, regards two GTs in a row as an experiment for him, but thinks he's paid a little more than he expected for the Tour. Isn't sure whether he should drop out of the GC to stage hunt or see if he can get back to try and get top 5, the team will decide after Sunday, but thinks top ten in two GTs in a row would be a decent result and seemed to want to try and fight for it - mainly to see what he could actually do (think Pidcock had some similar comments once)

Also nice from Asbjørn Hellemose (Jayco, ex Trek), said yesterday he was in trouble on a climb early on and Mads P wouldn't let him drop off the back, brought him back and a few positions up again. Classy.

Monfort was saying similar in an interview on TNT, also thought that Mads would improve as the race goes on. He was talking about their numbers as is the way these days but wouldn't elaborate.
Until he gets on a bike, then he does his job.

I was travelling to Mallorca yesterday but managed to catch the last 2km of the dirt climb and today I saw the final climb. (Just in case you thought I had been quiet)
So I'm now at Port de Tudons waiting for stage 9. Enjoyed stage 6 and being able to see it come round twice was a nice reward for the hours sitting in the heat and Ben Turner doing wheelies on the gravel climb was a sight to see.

They could have, but his team is a little on the weak side for once, and they did the work yesterday so they got a day off today. I think he'll want them working on Sunday again
