He's going to need a big uptick in form tbh, he's been consistently shelled out fairly early and says he's paying more for the Tour than he expected.

It's fun though, as every rider in with a shout has fairly easily identifiable flaws - descending, TTing, lack of punch, age, form, season burnout etc

Blythe made an interesting point on comms (I know, stuck clock and all that) saying that riders appear to be feeling stronger and more able to attack as they’re not grovelling trying to hold the wheels whist UAE push the pace.

Really does feel like anything could happen now. Most of those at the top are prone to a bit of a collapse, Kuss and Roglic maybe the most consistent but Roglic is knocking on and has been struggling prior to the start. Hopefully it won’t see a return to the days of him sucking wheels and sprinting for bonus seconds that we all whinged about in the days before we whinged about Pog riding off solo from 30km out.

He's right, you're wrong. Luke Roberts is a Decathlon DS. Luke Rowe is also a Decathlon DS but he's not at the Vuelta
