Stage 11 Cartagena > Lorca 153.8 km

If it's a sprint that last corner looks jarring. Still 400ish m to go though

I literally caught the last 1.5kms. Seemed to me Visma backed the wrong horse. Is that the consensus, or was it simply not enough numbers to control the finish?
I agree. I think it's an issue of Brennan having already won 2 stages and WVA wanting to get his win too. If WVA already had a stage win, I think they'd have gone for Brennan.

I think it was more the finish was more suited to Wout given it was a 5k uphill drag. in the end it was quite chaotic so chapeau to Tronchon, he came like a speeding bullet from nowhere!

Yes, the front on camera made it look a lot closer than the overhead shot. At least the front on camera wasn't shooting directly into the sun this time.

It was an uphill drag until it wasn't - the last 300m or so were downhill and very fast!

His interview yesterday where he said he hoped Wout wins the green jersey now makes a load more sense.

Ah, well he wasn't targeting green anyway, just a stage win and trying to help Skjelmose in the GC. I think he's good mates with Wout - first to congratulate him at Roubaix, but also came and commiserated when he got pipped by Pippo Ganna in Dwars door Vlanderen (spent about a minute telling him how epic and fantastic he'd been!). They've got quite a lot in common, as classics riders that would have the whole thing sewn up in a world without Pog and MvdP. If Pog, Remco and MvdP are the Big Balls Club clique, I think Wout, Mads P and Vingegaard are the shadow version
