Yes, 5'10 long arms and legs. Men's bikes, women's saddle always. Women's frames don't come big enough. Large Spesh hybrid, 54.5cm frame on the roadbike (which was built for me, in terms of bar width, stem length etc)

Best to get a proper fit and test ride - nothing worse than a bike that is too big

Sorry to bring up such an old topic. Just noticed you are as tall as me and I was just looking at the women models, but can't see anything bigger then 56cm which I am afraid might not fit me as I am 5'10 as well (178cm). Is there any point of trying any women bikes. Or should I just get mens bike and if so will there be any parts that I have to swap? I think the more I am looking into the bikes the more I am getting discouraged that I will ever be able to choose one.

I ride 54cm bikes, men's frames but with a 100mm stem and 38cm bars.

If you want a women's bike, a medium giant avail worked for me for 18 months until I fancied a change! Cannondale do 56cm wsd roadbikes too, so do Scott, also cube (but the men's models come up smaller so may be no good)

What have you looked at and how much do you want to spend? What sort of spec?

Large Scott here, big discount, black so not for me but each to their own

£500 off in a 54cm, about the best alu frame there is and lovely looking. Be tempted if I needed another bike lol

The scott contessa looks nice (love black) and the other scott model is also discounted. It would be nice to go and try then out somewhere. About 500 is what I could spend on a credit (if I am approved) otherwise I would be looking for something cheaper.

I prefer a men's frame. I'm 5'8" with long legs and arms, short back so I have a regular men's frame with narrower handlebars and a shorter stem. Works for me. I did try a ladies Giant but it really didn't float my boat.
