The chirping bush

The split-scone tree

The buddha cat

The lane where I start singing "you gotta survive" by Tom Robinson.

(But only the lines
"Jamie got a couple of knives
Countryside crawling with maniacs
You gotta survive"
followed by whistling the guitar break)

Or maybe it's Janie who got the knives.

I don't know, I've never thought about it until now.

Most of my 'landmarks' are of the pot-hole variety! I also have a wafty smell - mine's a chippy - just half a mile from home and it really does smell good after 12 miles in the dark, cold, rain...

The corner in Rossington where I came off a few weeks ago.

The smell of KFC as I approach York road roundabout.....where there are always 2,3,4, sometimes more rlj's every frickin evening!

The potholed strewn end of Amersall road where I'm forced 4 feet from the kerb.

There's a large white house that I pass at exactly the half way point on a 50 mile ride I do. Oddly enough I decided to call it half-way house.

The trouble is I now pass it at the 25 mile point of a 70 mile ride I've started doing  Still call it half way house

The smell of the refuse site is not too good on Longley Lane, Wythenshawe. I suppose I have pear mill and the pyramid on mine, but that is what they are called (pear mill after the pear shaped dome on top, and pyramid because that is what it is.)
