Then there's 'yellowhammer ash' - an ash tree where a yellowhammer often perched one summer singing his heart out.

Main reason I gave up with the iPod on my commute was because I couldn't hear the birds.

Mostly I can't hear them anyway because of the traffic, but there are gaps and my longer, more rural, route is very quiet.

'D**khead Corner' is my name for the stretch between Maryland Train Station and Stratford Morrisons. When I used to ride up Mile End Road I often used to see 'Bum Cleavage Brompton Beardy'.

After that pic I stopped going that way due to the wet/muddy state of the trail, been a few weeks so assumed it would have gone by now.

I doubt it's gonna get back up again Potsy....
