Laptop Abroad Question

Off to sunnier climes end of next week and plan on taking a laptop. Using a regular mains adaptor can I plug it straight in or is there anything extra I need?

Most laptop supplies are multi-voltage (said he, checking his one) so you should be fine.

+1 to that. Depends where you are going and what computer it is but laptops usually have pretty intelligent power supplies which adjust to the local supply.

Yup I've taken many laptops to Japan/Hong Kong/New York/Thailand and Gran Canaria and they have worked fine apart from needing the adapter plug thingys so the 3 pin plug can fit into a 2 pin supply.
