My 'lawn' is on a 45 degree angle, and is basically clumps of stringy grass, interspersed with bare earth. I strim it when it looks too unruly.

Miss Goodbody's garden, however, is neatly trimmed and fragrant.

Buy a ride on mower. I have one and there is never a shortage of rugrats willing to cut the grass, and we don't even have to pay them. Its win win situation

I've had to do my 'lawn' twice this year already. Must be different t'up your way.

Did the first mow of the year last friday. We recently dug up our huge patio/rock garden/raised beds/trellis with climbing bushes at the end of the garden and laid it with lawn. So twice as much to mow now.

We had friends around the weekend. "Would you like a go on my mower ? " , "Yes please !".
