They're going to limit the size of bike computers although all the current devices from the big players meet the proposed maximum.

Allegedly it's to remove cognitive load from the riders but I suspect that it's either they've realised that any bigger and the riders will be able to surf porn during the boring stages or they're heading off a move from Peloton to enter the World Tour.

My first thought was an idea that if they are too big then they could be used as part of an aero package


I was watching F1 at the time and they were talking about rear wings - which might have influenced my thinking

You gotta larf, ain’cha? All those years shaving grams, and then they add them again! Will ‘pro cycling’ go full circle, and have them ride steel bikes over unpaved roads, eating cold chops and drinking wine, wearing wool jumpers?
