LBS in the Bury area (lancs)

Hi does anybody know of any local bike shops in or around Bury? I went to leisure lakes on Saturday and the staffs attitudes made sure I won't be going back. I know there is Halfords but I would love a proper bike shop to use.

shepherds cycles in heywood, Paul Whatmough owns it from Bury Clarion cycling club.

My rear gear cable snapped at weekend, he replaced it, new cable, tuned it, £5.

Damian at DJ Cycles in Holcombe Brook. First-rate bloke altogether.

Unfortunately Damian has a very small shop and can't get any decent brands so he specialises in mountain bikes and does a lot of repairs. If you want a road bike there's Leisure Lakes who are a big Specialized dealer but you said you don't like them, then further down the A56 towards Whitefield there's Cookson Cycles who do Trek and a couple of others and are very good, owned by Sarah, then there's Harry Hall Cycles in Whitworth Street Manchester who are also Spesh dealers and are an excellent shop. Finally there's the very good Ride On in Rawtenstall who are mostly mountain bikes. We are not short of decent shops in Bury!

Just looked up DJ cycles on google maps and he is about 2 minutes from my father in laws,i do own a road bike so i was just looking for a repair shop (spent 30 quid in halfords weekend for a front mech adjustment).I may of just have caught LL on a bad day but i had to wait first impressions last.Thanks aain Globati ,i didnt realise just how many shops i had available.
