Cruddas park, chortle.
threemodelsmcginty - the man who put Das in Cruddas. Is that where the maillot jaune will blend with the pantalons jaunes on the park benches, or is it posh there?

There's room for them...

They would be swiftly liberated.

I don't know if Newcastle College still own a block there, but whoever decided that sticking a bunch of freshers in an area which houses rehabilitating violent offenders seriously needs a word with themselves.

We ended up calling Friday 'Hammers on Chains Night' such was the ferocity of the battles witnessed from my flat in The Pines.

"it would be out of the scope of Gateshead Council so we’d have to be looking at this with Northumberland and Durham."
Yes, obviously the favoured routes would encompass all three. But I do wonder if they could not both save money and have an inaugural Womens TDF start here?

One thing for sure, if it happens I'll likely reccy the route half a dozen or so times beforehand.

At school (Duchess' County High School, Alnwick) we used to call the kids from Wooler sheep-sh@ggers. Mind you, they reckoned that us lot buggered kippers, so I guess honours even.

erm cruddas park has been renamed! its called tyne view now! my avator is erm! le tyneview.

I heard they'd gone for Riverside Dene?

To be fair, last time I cycled through it looked like they'd smartened the place up a bit. Still, I reckon it's a far cry from the "city in the sky" that Mr Smith had in mind...

This thread makes me proud to be an honorary Geordie. Bestiality, Cruddas Park, fights... Genuinely glorious. To complete our efforts can someone put up a picture of that bloke kissing that bird's arse?
