The thing is, like everything else. objects of revulsion are only repugnant because we have been educated to find them repugnant. The outfit is bits of coolmax/lycra and quite frankly looks ridiculous. As I don't care about looking ridiculous, I'd happily wear the stuff and take the flak.

We buy into the franchise of revulsion all too readily. I don't recall howls of protest at the wearing of german uniforms in 'Allo 'Allo.

I can not visualise any posse of people wearing the outfits ever being taken seriously in the social circles that I move around in.

I accept that there are some communities that will respond negatively and with some justification.

Amateur historian, tabletop gamer, airsofter and dress up fiend (re-enactment or at least have been before)
even the guys i know who wear SS uniforms wouldn't put that trash on tho. eek.
