Leather trimmed bike - kewl or naff?

A triumph of form over function, I reckon.

I think the design of a good bike speaks for itself. Even though I like a nice paint job, I find bare Ti frames quite appealing.

You should see some of the trim inside the cars at work,some even come specced up with leather trimmed air vent fins !!!

It's not naff - it's too expensive for that, and it's very nicely done - but it is utterly impractical. And it's twenty seven f**king grand ...

It's not a bike by a cyclist - it's a bike by an 'artist'. which is why it has such awful clearances, the tyres are fitted the wrong way round and the seapost is in backwards.

Porsche,they call it exclusive options.......sometimes I'm not sure if they are that tastefull !

I think it is both 'kewl' and 'naff' on the basis anything that is refered to as 'kewl' is 'naff'.

Wonder if it would work with snake skin? It could be seamless tube then.

When I am god, I will ride a bike formed of snakes, all trained to hold themselves rigid. I could alter the geometry whenever I wanted by asking them to budge about a bit.
