The reason many women act like daft bints is because so many people treat them like they can't be expected to show sense that they end up believing it.

If she's big enough to drive a mega kg killing machine she's big enough to take criticism. Being small and sweet is lovely but it's not a get-out for an adult to behave like a child.

Serves her stupid self right, no sympathy.

Hopefully she has learnt her lesson and next time she WILL think.

While it was probably frightening for her, I reckon it was the wake up call that she needed. I bet she'll think of you when she sees cyclists on the road, at least for a while.

Absolutely. Don't beat yourself up, jig-sore. You ticked off a novice driver in a restrained way. She is probably young enough to take the lecture on board for the rest of her days. Good for you.

She won't forget it.
35 years ago when I was 17, to my eternal shame I left hooked a cyclist who then followed me to the house I was visiting. Before I could get out of my car he shouted and swore and banged on the roof a few times. I daren't get out in case it got worse. Lesson learnt.

Something like, "Last night I watched you sleeping while I sharpened my carving knife" ... is that what you mean?

If I'd been drinking it would have been all over my computer now!!

Seriously though, the note sounds like a good idea. Just a short one saying you're sorry if you shouted too much, but that she really needs to concentrate when driving as we cyclists are soft and squishy and she's in control of a tonne or more of metal. Finish it with a "no harm done this time, and hopefully there won't be a next time" sort of thing, and maybe include a lock of her hair in the envelope for good measure...

Firstly unless she is an illegal driver she is 17+ and a qualified adult driver.

I have three girls aged 18 to 22 who share a car. The youngest passed her test in July and had a relatively minor accident in August (smashed up front end of her car and side of another in a slow speed junction crash) which was entirely her fault but taught her a big lesson. Not least because I made her pay £250 towards the excess!

If what had happened to you had been done by one of my girls I would be pleased that they got a shouting at. The stalking/murdering bit might be a bit excessive though.

well i rode back around that estate tonight and there was no car to be seen, in fact there were hardly any cars about and most of the houses are brand new and empty, for sale and sold signs everywhere.

not going to go out of my way to find her but still not feeling any better about it

regardless of what happened im not proud of ranting and raving at a defenseless young girl

She's not defensless behind the wheel.

Some times people need to be told that what they didn't wasn't very clever.
