Leg Warmers

I can't get my existing set of leg warmers to stay up anymore. It's not a fabric/elastic issues, more a me issue - lost weight/muscle again. They are size small Pearl Izumi ones purchased 3 autumns ago.

So the question is, does anyone know what leg warmers would be suitable - don't care about cost, etc, must be full length leg warmers, not knee warmers. I have had a bad leg injury and because of reduced blood flow from a severed major artery which has not sorted itself out, I need to keep this area of the leg warmer in the cooler weather - it frequently turning an interesting shade of grey!

Does anyone have any that they know might stay up on 19 inch (47cm) circumference thighs? Needing a make that is more 'lean and skinny'...

Can't currently get to the closest place (Chester) that will stock any to try them on due to family issues.

they are baggy at both the top and the bottom now due to muscle/fat loss rather than the elastic having failed. I suspect this will cause rubbing issues if I can't find some smaller ones. was hoping that there might just be someone out there with similarly skinny thighs!

The youngest rider who ever came on my forum rides was incredibly skinny. At a cafe stop, I asked him where he found leg warmers suitable for such skinny legs. His solution was ...







He used arm warmers instead!

It might be worth trying?

I know I have lost weight size you saw me in March (roughly 5kg I think), but arm warmers.... surely there must be some leg warmers that will fit - after all....

in cycle clothing? have done the teenage girl shops in the past... Gap jeans in size 0 (when I was down at 54kg - currently holding 62kg and size 6-8*) etc.
tends to only be the seriously expensive makes that do the smaller sizes of outdoor clothes (like Arc'teryx and such)...
Assos in ladies small is now too large for me but I will have to cope (and carry on pulling them up repeatedly) because I can't afford to replace my kit (not having a job or any income at all)... thankfully the top half is still 'normal' sizes give that they need to fit over my bust line!

*I really do claim heavy bones (bone scans agree with this except for one bone (left femur) which does have osteoporosis!)

I have the opposite problem ................
I just recieved some planet x armwarmers in large/xl and they fit just nice even though i havent got big arms so maybe their legwarmers are worth a look ?
imho best to go to a lbs/decathlon etc and try for size.

currently not possible and probably won't be for sometime to come. (but that was what I did last time).
The closest place that stocks anything (and by stocks anything we are talking very limited supplies and usually not my size) is 15 miles away and in the wrong direction (Remember I don't have anything other than a bike for transport during the week) and due to an elderly family member ending up in hospital yet again (and my fear is that this time he won't come out or live much longer) and my parents' being away and unable to visit him, I am already occupied for at least this weekend minimum and probably next weekend as well. I have had to tactfully tell my brother he should consider coming up this weekend from London to see him... last time I had to do this with our Grannie, she died within a few days....

The main issue I have is even main stream high street shops don't 'cater' for anything below a ladies UK size 8 and some don't even cover a size 8....

TBH, I was hoping that someone may come this way saying I have size small in this and they measure such and such a size and my thighs are such and such a circumference,

A good shout, lasso are british, so why not contact them and ask for measurements. Otherwise, but a bunch from wiggle or crc, try them on and send back what is no good

I can't help you as I expect my arms are twice the size of your legs, let alone my legs!

On that note, I use size large adidas arm warmers! But they would surely be rather short for an adults legs!

I had thought about that option @vickster but wiggle using the collect+ service leaves me with a 13 mile bike ride to return anything and I'm off colour at the moment - not sure what is wrong but what with the steroid issues I have, I just know I am 'off colour' and not really wanting to do anything much at all... and my local post office have now closed down so the closest is too far away now for me to walk to - which given I can now manage 4 miles a day is saying something... OH is away next week as well (sometimes just in the day, and some of it overnight) so I can't rely on him being able to get anything posted for me sadly...

365 day returns with both Wiggle and CRC so no rush to return other than to recoup the funds

Can you not wear some running tights over padded shorts in the meantime? If off colour, presumably not cycling much or far right now?
