I have emailed them for some advice. Their XL sizing is only 3 cm shorter than I am, so it just depends on what size thighs they expect children to have...

365 day returns with both Wiggle and CRC so no rush to return other than to recoup the funds

Can you not wear some running tights over padded shorts in the meantime? If off colour, presumably not cycling much or far right now?

Hope you feel better soon

One of the problems with the Addison's is that I know when my body is in the early stages of fighting something off before I know what it is it is actually fighting off... hope that makes sense. I have spent most of the week on double dose... I also don't have any padded shorts - only 3/4 lengths or any running tights and I have found in the past that anything over 3/4 lengths has to be skin tight otherwise the legs don't move freely and it aggravates an RSI I picked up on tour after 6,000km... something that flares up from time to time...

In the meantime all I can do is to stay warm, take the meds and sleep/rest. Hopefully I will be up to a short ride in the sunshine tomorrow... I want to complete the TPT - there is a very short section (sub 10 miles) that we haven't done between Stockton Heath and Runcorn and I am getting the 'some fresh air' might do me good stir craziness at the moment despite walking a dog twice a day... (Last Saturday was a complete write off, I spent the entire day in bed asleep - same issue...) Also I need to be well enough to get out next Tuesday (college) and probably Thursday to see my grandfather in hospital - but that is a big +120m ride...

Take it easy!
Could you ride part way and get a train or something for the return journey, or most of it?
I have FM and the days I am floored by it are so frustrating!

Emma, if you read further down the page there is a petite lady reviews these ones and they sound promising?

As Vickster says, hope you start feeling better soon. xx
thanks - sadly I am 2 inches taller and petite options are usually too short for me. I will post a question (as I have done on a couple of the websites) about sizes and see if anyone can give me thigh dimensions...

no trains and tbh no money for them either. I have learnt to take life easy and on a day to day basis. today is the first time this week that I have not needed to go back to bed for a sleep during the day - but then I have just devoured rather a lot of chocolate (hot chocolate and choc chip scones - all dairy free) which would be keeping me awake from the sugar!

Just had a really helpful reply from wiggle...

Q: Do you have the sizes of the XS ones please? I have very skinny thighs and have problems finding small enough leg warmers to stay up.
A: I can confirm at the time of replying (26/09/14) our stock system is indicating we have 9 pairs of the XS size in stock.

great - but how as that got anything to do with the sizing...

I have marked it as unhelpful in the hope that I might get a more suitable response!

Can't you take your ones and have them altered, dry cleaning shops do alterations to clothing, might be worth an ask.
could be an option - it is just the rubbing issue and I do like my existing ones... just found out they do them in a XS but don't know how that will affect the length - trying to find that one out. And I do have a local (within easy walking distance) and exceptionally good dry cleaners and providing I can get over the language barrier... worth a shot...

Have just ordered a set in XL. They came back with their 13 year old son's thigh measurements for me (almost same as me ) and he is in XL so will given them a try.
thank you.
