Just ask them how it is they haven't heard about the new law making it compulsory for all vehicles to have video and post the recordings on You Tube from April 1st 2010.

I'm getting some right annoying bastards on youtube...
They are everywhere on YouTube. You can expect comments from them.

I wish I had a camera today on my commute...saw a nice lady with the back of her skirt tucked into her tights. Nice arse.

Unfortunately, she was on the pavement on the other side of the road, otherwise I would've got a better view told her.

It's the same as I get if I discuss my photography, including candid street scenes, that I am violating all kinds of human rights by photographing people in a public place.

When I tell them that I posess a dummy lens attachment with a right-angled mirror for real candids, it's fun to watch them explode with indignation

I quite regularly block users and remove their comments, mostly for outrageous language and extremely bad attitudes. Occasionally I'll let one through just to have a little balance, and to let them convict themselves.

You've obviously given this a lot of thought...!

Had one Taxi Driver threatened to "Sue me" for breaching his human rights after I sent a video to the Licensing Office!

Just sent a video of the threats to the same Licensing Office - who had another word withthe driver and I heard no more!

Simply edit out the bad language and apologise on their behalf - really winds them up!

Well the plates you display are in the public domain anyway - you are not taking it any further like trying to find out ownership details, insurance,,,,,,,,etc.

Not a criminal offence.

is there any moderation on youtube?

I see some rank racism on there on quite normal videos, there seems to be nowhere to report anything

Youtube is pretty rubbish in that effect as it "encourages" YOU to edit and manage the comments on your videos. So the trouble then arises that if you are part of the problem and lets say racist yourself then nothing will generally get done.

I have on occassion sent Al Quada and racist type stuff in link form through the crimstoppers website. I have flagged on the site itself too, but it doesnt really do much, I'm never sure that they actually look at it - I wonder if they wait for a set amount of people to flag before they do?

As for blocking. Doesnt actually work like on other sites and email iirc. The offender can still reply to messages. I must block one of my other channels and try this out. They can still view your vids and set up a new account to continue.
