Is the bike maintained by a mechano?

No, a Technic!

Knocks spots off Lego.

Never seen a Mecanno model that wasn't clearly of Mecanno. This road bike is a classic example of Lego SNOT - studs not on top.
Noticed Argos are overcharging by £20 for preorders on it. Some other June 1 releases have £10 off so maybe they have got the pricing wrong.

I'd posted earlier on the LEGO thread, but now this thread has popped up I thought I'd repost here as well. Forwart stickers in Hungary are producing a range of stickers for the bike so you can choose which brand you want it to be, from Specialized to Pinneralo to Canyon. They have ten different manufacturers, each sheet costs €19 but the quality is really high and I think they make it look really good.

Not sure about the Canyon decal set. That'd be like writing Woolworths or Sports Direct on there.

What an odd thing to say.

Canyon are a well respected bike brand making some really good high quality bikes. The Endurance is one of their best bikes, which is well specced and really highly regarded. I certainly think it's a really good choice and easily sits alongside Specialized and Pinnerallo as a quality bike brand.

Blimey you really do spout some drivel don't you?
Yes! and I'm always the first to admit it.

Perhaps you could highlight the bit where I said that they didn't have a range of really well made bikes?

Oh, that's right. You can't. Because I didn't. Perhaps you'll think a bit more carefully in future before bandying around insults.

I'm suggesting nothing more than it's a far from aspirational brand, unless you're the sort that is easily pleased or sets your sights low, so such a range of decals to sticker up a lovingly assembled model is an odd thing to provide. Perhaps in a similar vein they'll have a range of Vauxhall, Amstrad or Morphy Richards decals for the discerning modeller?

Dogtrousers

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I'm surprised we haven't had any angry wheel builders* on here complaining about those radial spokes and quoting Jobst Brandt.

* An oxymoron. Wheel builders are always angry.
