I agree Ian, I was almost sold on the whole RaB package until I seen the price. Whilst some of it is fully justified, in reality it's a lot to ask unless you have a large office where you work with deep pockets that may 'sponsor' you.

If your triathletes then I'm sure the training aspect wont be as if your overweight or unseasoned to it which is why I think you will cope fine. I would too love to complete a LEJOG, maybe if I'm lucky and can get time off work (and the wife permit's) I could be a late addition.

Hi there. If any is interested I'm looking for someone to ride with to do the Lejog. Feel free to drop me a line. I live in Sheffield and free to do training rides. I'm looking to do the ride cheap as poss.
Cheers. Pato

Hi everyone

Going to do LEJOG in April (planning to leave on Apr 19).
At the moment, am going alone. Will do a bit of research, a bit of training, but looking for an adventure, leaving room for flexibility.
Have not got a great deal of time for lots of research or to do any specialised training.
Maybe a little naive of me, but I want to head off with an open mind.

Hiya Sean,

I'm toying with the idea of doing a lejog in May/June, but currently have no pals who are up for it as they're a bunch of slackers! I figured it'd be much more fun, and also a bit safer with a few people. I'm looking for 2/3 people ideally, that way we can save some £££ on sharing rooms etc.

I'm MTB usually but am adding epics onto my todo list along with the purchase of a new road bike - I though the LEJOG would be a good place to start!

It's also not going to be a 'race' - I want to do it over 10-12 days to take the time to see some stuff, relax and enjoy it - if I wanted to just blast out 1000 miles, I'd do laps of a carpark. Leaving a few more days also means that, being unsupported we can soak up and mishaps and make time by doing a longer day.

Accom will be BnB/Hostel, as I don't want to stink for 2 weeks either - costing wise this means that we should be able to get it done for around £500 (including coach to Penzance and FLIGHT from Scotland) -I just can't afford a supported ride.

As for me I'm fairly fit, and good for some laughs and exploring - it'd be great to do it with a couple of likeminded riders.

I know the date is a bit off, but does any of this fit in with your plans?

Thanks,

Marc
