LEJOG - The fastest route

jamie for a route go to www.edwhiting.com/lejog this guy did it in 2007 following main roads ,log onto his site and download the map trace from google earth.This guy did it in 5 days but mileages were quite big 196 first day!

I'm doing it in June and accommodation at friends means doing a leg from Chepstow to Shrewsbury. Due north for 90 (hilly?) miles or 103 (flatish) miles taking the A48 up the Severn Valley then Worcester, Kidderminster etc?
